I really enjoyed reading this story. This book has everything a reader could possibly want to enjoy when reading this type of story. I haven’t made it a secret that I’m a big fan of Paranormal Romance, As a matter of fact, I can't read enough of this genre as it's one of my favorites.
When I received A Shift in the Water to review, I was excited to read it. Though this is my first time reading a book by Patricia D. Eddy, it allowed me to indulge in my love of reading.
First the story is paced just right. It starts with a mystery about elemental witches and wolf shifters. It’s a charming, engaging, and fantastic story. A Shift in the Water focuses on the main characters, Cade Bowman and Mara Taylor but it also includes secondary characters which helps with the background and the plot. The hero is allowed to show his weaknesses as well as strengths which is how Ms Eddy made the character more endearing and heroic.
As for the heroine, the author gave her character strength despite learning from her doctor early in the story that she was dying. She continued to show her independence and fortitude to accept death and continue living.
Cade and Mara relationship along with their steamy hot chemistry makes this a fabulous story. It's so entertaining and captivating to read. The romance in the story isn’t rushed and its punctuated by danger before they find their Happy Ever After.
When you finish this story you will want to read the next story in the series. Patrica D Eddy is a talented, very gifted author that I highly recommend. A Shift in The Water is well developed and it had me on the edge of my seat throughout the story! The story is a fantastic read and will keep you turning page-after-page until you are done.
If you are like myself, you won’t want to stop reading it.
